Advantages: Thrilling, what you see is what you get

Disadvantages: Can be a bit agressive at times

Dog The Bounty Hunter is one of those programmes that you get addicted to very very quickly. For all Dog virgins the show follows the lives of the Chapman family who are bounty hunters in Hawaii, running their own business Da Kine Bailbonds.

The family is headed up by Duane "Dog"Chapman a reformed criminal who spent time in prison after being found guilty of first degree murder. Whilst in prison Duane found god and from then on went by the name Dog as it's god backwards. Dog became a bondsman after a court judge gave him the opportunity to bring in a wanted felon in exchange for his freedom, from this Dogs new career was born. Working initially in the US Dog then moved to Hawaii with Beth who is was his long term partner and now wife.

The team at Da Kine Bail Bonds is made mainly of Dog's family his two sons Duane-Lee and Leyland and his daughter "baby" Lyssa. Another long term associate Tim Chapman also works along side them although he is no relation Dog frequently refers to Tim as his brother. So that is the happy band going out and rounding up all the criminals in Hawaii.

In each episode you normally see the family meeting at the office to discuss the offender they are going out to catch and formulating a plan. The team then head out in two cars one driven by Beth and the other by Leland or Tim. Now Beth is a character who will have you gripped from the start. She is very self confident often provoking arguments between the team or with offenders or their families. You really cant help but stare at her as she wears the most outrageous clothes, who would imagine a bounty hunter wearing an incredibly short mini skirt and high heals with a top so low that her massive (and when I say massive I mean MASSIVE!!) chest is practically smothering people. Her confidence has to be admired as she faces up to some of the criminals or their families often getting right in their faces.

Dog on the other hand looks like a red Indian as he has feathers in his long wild blonde hair and is incredibly spiritual. Dog believes that like him all criminals can find god and be saved and this is what he tries to do. Don't get me wrong his can be and often is very aggressive when hunting and catching his man but one they get in the back of the car he changes into someone who has an amazing heart and it leaves you wondering "who is this guy"?

The chase varies depending on the person some take days others take hours. Its always interesting to see how their get their man often persuading the criminals families to turn them in.

All in all the programme is a bit of a thrill ride from the chase to the capture and then to Dog trying to save the souls of those who commit crime in Hawaii. His commitment to helping people and getting rid of the ice (crack Cocaine) problem is amazing. Its also heart warming to see a man who has such love and devotion for his family.

I'm sure Dog's not for everyone but give it a go it restored my faith in human nature!

Dog is shown in Bravo in the UK and around the world on various other networks.

Summary: A great watch

This programme cracks me up! Hasn't it finished now though, because he did something to offend someone? I can't remember what, but I thought I saw something on the news about it?
