Advantages: Very entertaining

Disadvantages: Gets repetitive

The Dragons Den is a BBC tv show where budding entrepreneurs pitch new business ideas or inventions to a panel of wealthy investors. They offer a certain percentage of their business to the 'dragons' and in return they want monetary investment.

The Dragons are:

Deborah Meaden - who specialises in the holiday business

Duncan Bannatyne - who has made money from health clubs and casinos

James Caan - turns small businesses into success stories

Theo Paphitis - is a businessman who can revive flagging businesses and turn them into money making machines

Peter Jones - He has turned his hand to various things, but specialises in leisure, television and media. He also used to be a tennis player.

Various different characters have entered the Dragon's Den and have walked away with investment money.

Some people go in with really bad ideas and are torn to shreds by the dragons. This leaves their money making hopes in tatters, but it makes great telly, so who cares!

Summary: New invention show

I think this is great TV, especially because it's real money that's being bid for.
Particularly interesting is when the Dragons bid against each other to support an idea.
Most people who come forward haven't been trained in business and so find it hard to answer many of the Dragon's searching questions.
