Advantages: Seein people flounder
Disadvantages: Dragons need shaking up
Dragons Den can be found on BB2 and is hosted by Euwan Davies who is the economics expert for the BBC.
In the show hopeful business entrepreneurs come before a panel of business people looking to secure finance for their business. There are five business experts, known as the Dragons, in all and if they are interested they will put up their own money to buy a stake in the business so the person not only gets funding but also their considerable expertise and most importantly their contacts.
The current fve Dragons are James Caan, he was new to the last series and apparently may not be returning, Debora Meadon who is a right old Dragon and made her money in tourism, Duncan Bannatyne who is my favourite, a tough Scot who has a chain of fitness clubs, Theo Pophetis who is a bit tight with his money and very sarcastic and probably the best known, mainly due to other TV shows, Peter Jones who is a bit of a bully at times and very full of himself.
Ths show is interesting because they get some absolute nutters in the show who have no idea of how to run a business, you also get some people who think they are Gods gift to business and then get completely shot down. What is also interesting and I like to see, is when they follow up the investments made to see how they got on, that can be fascinating.
I would like to see them make some changes to the line up for the next series just for some variety.
Summary: Entertaining show
