Advantages: Fascinating characters
Disadvantages: You rarely find out if they are sucessful or not
I have only recently - probably the last two series - become a fan of this programme. I never watched it previously because it always clashed with picking up someone from cubs, or brownies, or the like.
However I was always being told about it by my brother. this is the sort of programme which shouldn't really be any good. There are four rich people who have people show them an idea or a product which they want the rich people to invest in for a slice of their company. We should hate these people with their money making schemes and all feel really jealous but we don't, and that has to do with the current mix of personalities I think.
I have seen some of the earlier series which are now being shown on Dave but the mix of presenters does not seem to have the same charisma.
The current "Rich Kids" are Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Theo Paphitis, james Caan and my personal favourite Duncan Bannatyne. I suppose we all learn a bit about business but what I would like to see more of is what happens to them after the show finishes - I would like to have 5 minutes at the end of each programme to see what happened to those that go the money - and those that didn't.
We often try and google the companies to see if they are still around - sad I know but it amuses us!!
Summary: A programme which shouldn't work but does
