Dragon's den is a cross between a business show and a reality tv show. On this program, what happens is that a young entrepreneur goes into the dragons den. The dragons are five of the most respected business people in the uk, who have the money, expertise and contacts to make the business soar, obviously only if they get a share of the business.

The five dragons are Theo, with expertise in retail, Debrah, with expertise in the travel and tourism industry, Peter Jones, who specialises in telecommunications, but has a vast business empire, Duncan, a scot who made his money by building homes and selling them, and James Caan, who has a variety of different businesses.

The enterprenurs wanting investment must show there invention or business idea, and must convince the dragons to offer some of their own money for a share in the business. The rules of the den state that the entrepeneur must get all the money he is looking for, or none at all. What this means is that two dragons, or maybe even 3 can split the cost between them, and share the percentage share of the business between them as well. Normally on this program, the "initial price per percentage" of the business is higher than what the dragons offer (for exanple, they may want to sell at £1000 per 1%, but the dragons may want more of a percentage of the business)
This program is educational, as it shows you how to conduct a good pitch, how the world of business works, and how to act. It is also quite entertaining, to see some of the clever, amazing and just whacky ideas out there!
