Advantages: Watch as the confident turn to jibbering wrecks

Disadvantages: Leaves you feeling so sorry for the Entreprenaurs

Dragon's Den consists of 5 Investors who are pitched by budding entreprenaurs, who wish for one or more of the investors to buy a percentage of their business.

This show can often be excrutiatingly painful for the entreprenaurs, and also for the viewers, mainly due to the profuse sweating of the people pitching their business. Many do not have figures prepared, and when quizzed by the potential investors, they fall to pieces and lose every semblance of credibility they have ever had.

The Investors consist of a group of men and women who are all extremely successful in their field and it is virtually impossible to get anything past them, without acute interrogation. If an entreprenaur wants to give away 5% of their business, you can bet that any Dragon who agrees to invest will walk away with a hefty 25 or 30% of the business, sometimes even higher. Needless to say, the majority of people in the Dragon's Den walk away without any investment at all, and are often given a good dressing down.

I love the tenacity of the people who dare to face the investors, but more so the investors themselves who can turn a once confident business person into a jibbering wreck. I love this show and it is well worth a look.
