Advantages: Great addictive show with a chance to check out the latest business ideas

Disadvantages: Can get boring after a while

Dragon's Den is a BBC reality show where entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to gain an investment from the five business experts.

The show see's multimillionaire entrepreneurs; Duncan Bannatyne, James Caan, Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden and Theo Paphitis (known as The Dragons) challenging entrepreneurs with great business ideas to pitch to them in order to receive a financial investment in return for a stake in their company.

Each episode shows a number of entrepreneurs pitching their idea with commentary by Evan Davies. This provides great information for those who are unsure about business. Each pitch usually consists of the usual spiel from the entrepreneurs followed by some nerve-racking questions from the Dragons. It's great to see the weird and wonderful ideas that some have come up with whether they are serious or hilariously bad products.

The pitches themselves aren't that special just giving information on the products and/or firm, it's when the Dragon's start their questioning that things get really interesting. Many of the entrepreneurs seen to crack under the pressure leaving us wondering whether or not they will recover.

The addictive thing about Dragon's Den is that you want to see the latest things that could eventually end up on your supermarket shelves (i.e. Reggae Reggae Sauce "It tastes so nice they had to name it twice!"). It's also a great family show where you can discuss the pitch and bet between each other if you thing they will get the invest and for how much.

The only negative of Dragon's Den is that it can get a little monotonous at times with the same old stories. Even thought it's great to see the new ideas it could be better if they adopted a more competitive shows method such as American Inventor meaning the entrepreneurs would have to pitch their ideas and then compete to improve their ideas and get the investment/prize.

Overall Dragon's Den is still a great show and definitely worth watching every week. Whether you love business or you just want to check out the latest business ideas, Dragon's Den is the show for you.

Summary: An awesome show that is fun to watch and great to discuss.

I tried to watch the online version but it just wasn't the same without the regular dragons. It's good when they catch up with those that have been on the show too - shows that some products can still go on to make money without their help.
