Advantages: Reignited British interest in Industry.
Disadvantages: Some poor choices in Dragons.
What a fantastic idea.
A largely successful and well thought out programme that has sometimes been let down by a poor choice in Dragons by the producers. For example, Rachel Elnaugh - What were they thinking? She created Red Letter Days which.....failed and went into administration. Interesting choice. The YO! Sushi creator who's personal fortune is substantially less than the other members of the Dragons and in particular is dwarfed by Bannatyne's.
Another poor decision was to get rid of Richard Farleigh who always brought a new perspective to an entrepreneur's pitch to replace him with James Caan who brings nothing new to proceedings and often waits for other Dragons to play their hand.
Nevertheless, this program has done a great deal to reignite the British industrious attitude and inspire many to come up with, and back, a wide range of ideas and products that could ultimately improve the lives of us all.
Summary: Great show, great viewing, great idea.
