Dragonball ZNewest Review: ... followed in Dragon Ball Z are a family of Sayins, with Goku the father, Chi Chi the mother and Gohan and Gotenks (Sp?) as the children. The sayins are a race of very powerful people, that start off life as apes, they can fly and perform some very impressive martial arts moves, including the Marmayharmayha, where a burst of energy comes out from a sayins body to destroy evil. Certainly it was this move that defeated the Namek Piccolo in the recent movie. In the Cartoon, Piccolo goes on to become good. If a sayin masters his powers to a great enough extent, he can become a Super Sayin, where his hair will turn bright yellow, and will fla... more |

I have just recently watched Dragon Ball Evolution, which is the film based on the whole Dragon Ball franchise, and it inspired me to review popular cartoon series Dragonball Z, which was perhaps my favourite television programme when I was in primary school. The sagas are Japanese Manga style cartoons that follow the evils threatening to destroy planet earth. I have not seen them on television for years, but they used to screen on Cartoon Network. The main characters followed in Dragon Ball Z are a family of Sayins, with Goku the father, Chi Chi the mother and Gohan and Gotenks (Sp?) as the children. The sayins are a race of very powerful people, that start ... Read the complete review

This review is about the DragonBall Z TV show, that now previews on the channel called Toonami, on channel number 903 (if your using an NTL Digi Box). DragonBall Z is basically about Son-Goku (the main character in the TV show), whom when in DragonBall (the first series) is a young man, who grows up to be a protector of the planet Earth, of what he thought was the only planet, but then he ends up being the defender of the universe, and he has a lot of burden upon his shoulders. Can he handle the pressure, does he crack, well see for your self, read the rest of this review. This review is rated a PG, so no one under 8 should be reading this without an adult with ... My first impressions, on watching an episode of Dragonball Z were: "Oh no, not another young childs fighting cartoon." But then that is exactly the false impression that most immediate viewers would probably get. Of course Dragonball Z is aimed at kids and it is about fighting. But DBZ has its very own unique and exciting charm. Maybe it's the long-running and involved plots and story-lines. Or maybe it's just the unique concepts and exciting action scenes, but whatever it is, I found myself very absorbed and I've now managed to watch all the sagas and episodes. Dragonball Z is broken down into different sagas, each one usually featuring a ... Read the complete review

I have a some confessions to make. I am 21 years old. I am a Law student. I am supposed to be intelligent, or so I'm told. Yet, here I am, about to write a review about a cartoon shown on the Cartoon Network and it's little offspring, CNX. The cartoon in question is called "Dragonball Z". Dragonball Z is the sequel to a Japanese "anime" cartoon called, unsurprisingly, "Dragonball". I must admit that I know nothing about this original, only what I have read on the website. I am also aware that this cartoon is a direct descendant of the Japanese version, which is particularly gory, more violent and contains sex scenes. ... Read the complete review

Dragonball Z is a Japenese Anime Cartoon, which became a giant success and Kids/Teens from all over the country were absorbed by the sharp, clever storylines and the pulsating music to add to the atmosphere. The cartoon was such a sucess that USA bought the rights to dubb it into American and broadcast it. Although many argue the dubbed version is not as good as the original subbed episodes, Dragonball became a instant sucess as it was quickly adapted by the people. Over in USA, it was broadcasted on a various of channels, one which including Cartoon Network. Cartoon Network saw the chance to gain more ratings, therefore money by introducing it on their channel based in ... Read the complete review
