“ Drake & Josh (2004-2007) is a Nickelodeon sitcom that stars Drake Bell as Drake Parker and Josh Peck as Josh Nichols. Both stars are from The Amanda Show, and from movies, as is Nancy Sullivan, who plays Audrey Parker-Nichols. Miranda Cosgrove plays Megan Parker, Drake and Josh's sister. The show debuted on January 11, 2004 and was cancelled in 2007 after running for four seasons. The final few episodes are likely to air this summer. „
Drake and Josh is an American sitcom that has been shown Nickelodeon on Sky TV from time to time. It was originally broadcast 2004 and ran for four seasons until 2007. It is a funny sitcom that follows the lives of two stepbrothers, Drake Parker played by Drake Bell and Josh Nichols played by Josh Peck.
These two brothers live together in a large, luxurious house with what seems like a lot of money to spend. As far as dreams go they seem to live it with everything a teenager could want with gadgets everywhere. They live with Drake's mother and Josh's father who have got married.
What makes the show so amusing is the stark contrast between the two of them. Drake is relaxed and leads a simple life. He is also quite lazy and popular and certainly out of the two of them has alot more luck with girls as he is more attractive. Whereas conversely Josh is overweight in the first couple of series before losing alot of that weight. He is a teenager who is not as popular as his stepbrother and is also quite sarcastic which always makes for good comedy.
Both brothers are quite often tortured by their evil little sister, Megan played brilliantly by Miranda Cosgrove. She is often playing pranks on them and it seems that she is never punished by her parents at all. The show really focuses largely on their ongoing relationship and the conflicts they have as you would expect from stepbrothers. The conflicts they have a numerous and often related to their school or work.
It is one of those shows that's very easy to watch, has no bad language and is perfect for children between the ages of say seven or eight through to early teenage years. It does appeal to many and was pretty popular when it was aired originally.
Drake and Josh is a great television programme for ages between 7-14 year olds. It is usually on everyday on nickelodeon. However the only annoying part is when you've seen most episodes, you start to see repeats, episodes that you've already seen before. Nevertheless here are the positive sides of this amazing programme.
Tricks...tricks. That's all she does to her innocent brothers, who try and dodge her when they see her. She is a child, who you shouldn't mess around with! Megan ruins Drakes and Joshes lives, as they have to keep fully aware of their surroundings. She is funny to watch and always keeps her trouble making face away from her mum and dad.
Drake is a ginger haired teenager, who is a brilliant guitarist. He sometimes gets in trouble when he hasn't he even done anything. Megan, the trick creator, usually does this. He is a funny character, who is sometimes quite clumsy.
Josh is my favourite character. This is because he is the funniest out of the lot. He works in a bar, where Helen, the manager, always bosses him around. However, Drake always gets told he does everything right by Helen. Josh is a good scientist, but usually gets beat by Mindy Crenshaw in the science contest.
All of the episodes have extremely funny parts in. It's Drake, Josh or another character who has a problem and someone solves it. The episodes are usually repeated, which is the only negative part about it.
Summing up these points, I recommend you should watch Drake and Josh. If you want to have a laugh and a giggle pop on to nickelodeon and watch a superb episode of Drake and Josh.
Drake and Josh is a childrens tv show that is shown on Nickelodeon. It is a show about two step brothers who are very different to one another.
Drake is the mosre confident one whos mains loves in life are girls and playing music.
Josh is the complete opposite and is not that good with girls and loves his magic tricks.
Together they get into a whole lot of trouble and the concept of the show is watching them get out of it.
To add to the equation, they also have a little sister Megan who likes to get them into a lot of trouble and is always playing pranks and jokes on them.
My daughter loves this show and it does keep her entertained. However in my opinion it is another of those American childrens shows that doesn't really live up to much. The plots are really silly and the end results can be seen a mile off, but for children, they love it. I think my daughter finds it funny how they get into these stupid situations and likes seeing how it will turn out.
I think the acting is not that great, but then again thatis typical of this sort of tv show.
The best character would have to be Megan as it is funny watching her get her brothers.
However, i also think that there are alot better tv shows for children out there. It is good for a laugh every now and again, but to me is not that funny.
One of the best things i can say about it is that it can keep my daughter entertained and if she likes it then that is the most important thing.
Kids will love it and parents will tolerate it.
I love Drake & Josh - it's Kenan & Kel for the 2000s. You have Drake (Drake Bell), the guitar player not really interested in anything but his music and girls and then you have Josh (Josh Peck), clever, funny and a heart of gold.
Not only that but you have evil Megan (Miranda Cosgrove, now starring in iCarly) who always winds up Drake & Josh and always manages to outwit them. There's also the parents, whose names I can't remember! As well as Helen the manager at the movie theater where Josh works. The final main-ish character is Mindy, Josh's girlfriend.
The episodes are all half-hour long with Drake and Josh getting themselves into some kind of scheme or trouble and figuring out how to get out of it. Be it dealing with a criminal, locking themselves in a bathroom to get away from a dog to thinking Walter, the dad, is having an affair and putting spaghetti down the woman's top!
As well as four seasons worth of episodes there were also movies: Drake & Josh Go Hollywood, Really Big Shrimp & Merry Christmas Drake & Josh which were all great. Really Big Shrimp served as series finale until Merry Christmas came along last year.
I think Drake & Josh is the best Nick show over the past few years and it's a shame there are no more new episodes. Overall a really great and funny show.
When you have kids, you resign yourself to the fact that you are going to have to listen to a lot of music and watch a lot of TV out of duty rather than for any intrinsic pleasure that you might derive from it. Thank goodness therefore for 'Drake and Josh', a big favourite in our household! The characterisation is nothing new (cool lazy teenager gains new overweight uncool stepbrother) but it just works really well. There are also a number of strong supporting characters, with Miranda Cosgrave of 'I Carly' fame in particular doing a great job as the malevolent sister who plays endless tricks on her brothers without ever getting into trouble. Sadly the two main stars have now grown too old for the show, with the very talented Drake Bell looking to concentrate on a career in music, whilst Josh Peck clearly also wants to be a teenage heart throb and serious actor judging by his recent weight loss regime and image makeover! However they made a number of series before effectively bowing out with this year's Christmas special, and they are rerun pretty regularly on Nickelodeon. If you have to end up in front of the television with your children, there are a lot worse options out there than this one!
Drake & Josh is the most amazing comedy show I have ever seen. From the very first episode of Drake & Josh, I started linking it because its so cool and funny. My Favourite character in Drake & Josh Show is Drake Parker, while I like Josh Nichols too. But the cleverest character in this show is Megan Parker, sister of Drake and Josh, who plays many tricks on Drake & Josh for no reason. This is a show that everyone can watch without thinking about their age because its a Great Comedy Show in Nick! Drake is a cooler guy than Josh, he plays a guitar, sings and writes songs, dates with girls and consumes everything for free in the Premier Theatre which Josh has to pay from his salary. I have been watching this show from the very first episode and has watched upto two seasons of this show. Now I am watching the third season in which the fun and excitement continues as Drake & Josh keeps entertaining us. Everyone should watch this show!
Drake and Josh is an hysterical show for children and teenagers on the Nickelodeon channel, my granddaughters fall about laughing at the antics in this comedy show and Ive gradually grown to love it myself.
Drake and Josh are stepbrothers, both are about 15 or 16 years old and are wildly different characters who surprisingly get on extremely well. Drake, played by Drake Bell, is the super cool guy around town. He is always chasing girls, usually catching them too!, and plays in a rock band with his dream being to one day get a recording contract. He has a trendy haircut and all the latest fashionable clothes, the witty one liners that Drake comes out with are so excellent because he has the look to pull them off.
Josh, on the other hand, is not so cool. Played by the wonderful Josh Peck, he used to be obese but has worked really hard to lose his weight and looks fantastic now. Josh is still chunky though and it's magnified by Drakes slim stature, this could easily have resulted in Josh being labelled the loveable side kick but Josh really holds his own and has such comical mannerisms and expressions that for me he takes over as the main highlight of the show.
Drake and Josh spend most of their time in their huge bedroom which has all the mod cons, along with a full sized cardboard cut out of Oprah Winfrey which is Josh's favourite possession. A lot of the funny action happens in their bedroom, I love watching them fight whenever they bicker or argue because one will do something silly like pull a single hair out of the other ones head and the hurt brother will fall to the floor and overreact before coming back with an equally daft gesture like flicking his brother on the nose. It makes me smile because both Drake and Josh are talented when it comes to comedy acting and their prat falls are some of the best I've seen on kids TV.
Drake and Josh are constantly terrorised by their little sister Megan. Now, Megan I love! She is played by Miranda Cosgrove, who now has her own starring role in iCarly on Nickelodeon. Megan is a genius, but she really is an evil genius who uses her talents to make life hell for her two brothers. She has a sweet little face (my granddaughter says she looks like an Eskimo) but Drake and Josh are amusingly terrified by her. This morning I watched an episode where the boys accidentally kill Megans hamster and watching them jump and cringe every time she walked into the room was hysterical - as Megan herself said, they were so scared for a week waiting for her to take her revenge that that was revenge enough! A brilliant character.
Drake and Josh's parents don't feature much in the show, other than as patsy's for the brothers' humour. A good show was when a party got out of hand while their parents were away and MTV actually turned up to broadcast live from Drake and Josh's living room, their parents happened to see it on TV and raced back home in an absolute panic because they recognised their house from the MTV show. Of course, by the time they got home Drake and Josh had made it look like nothing had happened and were sitting playing Ludo as their parents dashed in - the funny part was just after they had managed to convince their parents there was no party, but a cop knocked the door and dropped them in it.
I love this show, I think it's good clean fun for children and even though Drake and Josh are certainly older than my granddaughters the humour is angled towards younger teenagers. The jokes are visual and most of them are simply Drake and Josh making fun of one another, but it's good slap stick humour and TV that you can watch without really thinking about.
Drake and Josh are step brothers and they live in a large American house seemingly with endless pots of money to spend. They live every teenager's dream, with a massive room and every gadget you could want. They always seem to have money and are at the cinema complex more than school it seems.
Josh is the brother who has lots less luck with girls and projects in general. In the early series of Drake & Josh he was very overweight but in the latest series he has lost loads of weight and looks so much better. Drake is the brother who gets all the girls and is usually in charge of whatever money making scheme they come up with next.
I watch this with my sons who are 15, 13 and 7 and we all enjoy it. Drake and Josh are generally good guys who get into scrapes and situations which are very funny. They are both excellent actors and deliver lines and act comedy very well.
They also have a younger sister, Megan, who terrorises them. She is very clever and is always trying to find things to do to make their lives a misery. She usually succeeds and they end up glued to chairs or eating something gross. She actually gets on my nerves sometimes but Drake & Josh are very entertaining to watch and I am sure they are the envy of a lot of kids out there who would love their lifestyle.
It is kind of a modern day Different Strokes or other American sit com aimed at teenagers or older children who have outgrown cbeebies and the like. There is never anything offensive in it, no swearing and the most sex you get is a kiss on the back row of the cinema so it really is suitable for kids. Even my four year old daughter enjoys an episode or two if she can see their sister making their lives hell.
I recommend it - catch it on Sky on Nick.
basicly drake and josh is about two step brothers who at the start of this series they dont get along however towars the end their friendshop grow.the show is on nickolodean 'spelt wrong??'
and is available in the sky and ntl package, overall i this series is just simply great it has a really funny storyline which apeals to almost anyone from kids to the oldest of adults...this is a comedy show and is just great to watch.the show is based in sandiego 'america' and drake and josh go to the same school, drake and josh seem to be really different they are differengt because:
drake has all the ladies he has hes own band, doesnt do great in school and is a comical character.
