True Blood ... a bit of background... the wife and daughter had discovered Twilight, and preached to anyone who would listen how great it was. Being an open minded kinda guy I went on their recommendations and gave the series ago. They were good. A bit lacklustre in some cases. Like they had missed a trick. And god were they predictable. Anyway despite that, they whetted an appetite and interest for vampires. Enter True Blood, and this is what Twilight would never dare to do! From the first episode you learn very quickly, this is miles away from the teen-girl-target-marketed tales of Twilight. This is raunchy, violent, bloody, risqué vampire TV. And thank goodness! Murder, She Wrote ... realise that by writing this review I am probably committing social suicide by admitting to not only watching this show but loving it. But I am not one to be concerned with that. I have withstood a number of years of stick from my friends so a bit more won t harm me. Jessica Fletcher(Angela Lansbury) is a murder mystery writer from Cabot Cove, Maine. While some episode s centre around murders that happen in her home town, others happen when she is visiting her friends and family. Jessica seems to have an extensive number of friends and family across the country, and despite the fact people always die when she comes to visit they are never reluctant to have her stay. ... Flashforward ... is the latest US drama to take Channel 5 in all its many guises by storm. The current weeks episode is first shown on Monday at 9pm after that its repeated at least twice a day, probably more on fiver and fiver plus one. On Sundays its possible to watch the previous six episodes back to back commencing at 4pm or 5pm on Fiver plus one. On October 6th the entire world blacked out simultaneously for two minutes and 17 seconds. Some people died on the spot. Most people saw into the future, specifically their own futures.
