Sometimes I wonder what I would watch on television if we did not have Sky, especially Sky One, as it has a lot of my favourite programmes. In this country, we have become so used to our soaps taking part around an community in a large city, that it was refreshing when Sky decided to base their soap/series on a different type of a community, and they chose a fictional Midlands football club, and named it Harchester United, or The Dragons as they are known to their fans. This month saw the beginning of the seventh series of this highly addictive series, and for those of you who have not seen or heard of it, please read on as it may make you want to watch it, as it ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Dream Team: Great! (323 words)

Dream Team is a telly programme that is on the sky one channel. There have been six seasons already and the seventh will start in september on sky one. The programme is all about a football team called Harchester United who play in the English premiership. Although it is set around a football club it isn't all about football because there is a lot about the personal lives of the players and the wives and also about the running of the club like a business. The best bit about it is the clips of the matches where they play against real teams and it has been filmed to make it look as though they are really playing! Another great thing is that there is often ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Such a let-down after previous seasons (179 words)

Having watched the previous 2 seasons of Dream Team, I got addicted - Sunday nights were Dream Team night - everything stopped for Dream Team. Flash cars, gorgeous girls, fit blokes (according to my wife), interesting storylines and even a little football thrown in made it compulsive viewing. And I'm not a big football fan. But as a drama series it was very enjoyable and very addictive. Not now though! The new series (2002-3) is such a let-down. My wife and me spent the summer looking forward to the new series, following the big coach crash at the end of last season. Most of the cast has changed (which is to be expected as most of the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Dream Team: The Dragons Lair (897 words)
by - written on 11/08/02 (Very useful, 2975 readings)
Rating:

Dream Team is a completly original idea for a soap devised by Sky One and focuses on the plight of fictional Premiership team Harchester United. The team otherwise know as the dragons, have played at two grounds durin the season, Addison Road which they used Leicesters Filbert Street ground for a double of there original stadium Addison Road, and they are now using the New Den, Millwall for the Dragons Lair. This year will see the start of the 6th season of Dream Team and after the cliff hanging end to last season (i'll talk about that in a bit) its going to be a must watch. So i thought id write this opinion to give some back ground into a quality series. ...  Read the complete review
