This is another program showed regularly on the Paramount Comedy Channel, greatly recommended to anyone!! This was set in the offices of Globelink news, and had many opportunities for jokes at the political figures of the time - Maggie Thatcher, John Major, and Bill Clinton being the most common!! The royal family never missed out either. The individual characters each added their own comedy element to the show, that added to its brilliance!! The managing director, whose most common phrase is "i'm not here" is constantly telling the weak George what he is going to put in the news reports, so that he doesnt upset Sir Royston, and uncover some of his dodgier deals. He speaks in complete nonsense!! George is a hypocondriact, with a psychopathic daughter, who has a tendancy to cause mayhem! Then there is Helen, the deputy editor, that manages the whole office as George is too weak. There is Dave, who spends most of his time gambling, and sleeping with married women. Damien Day is the reporter who goes out into the field to get stories, and gets his camaraman Jerry injured all the time!! finally the news readers, Henry the older, and more experienced, who loves drink and women, and Sally, the pompous airhead, who likes lorry drivers!! Finally Joy, very wrongly named, cynical, man hating dogsbody, but the most effeciant in the history of globelink! Imagine the mixture of all these characters, with silly bets, like which member of the office will die next, or bets on cockroaches, and the the mickey taking of people in the media. This is a great show, and its a shame it didnt last longer.
