Advantages: Heart warming stuff

Disadvantages: Having to bulk purchase tissues

I have been watching Eastenders ever since I can remember, and have to admit that recently I have got to the point where I could quite happily miss a few episodes and not get in a panic safe in the knowledge that I would be able to catch up very easily.

However, since Ethel came back to the square and the storyline between her and Dot came to fruition I have been hooked once more and unable to miss an episode.

It was brilliantly written and beautifully played, the lifetime friendship was so well acted and I am sure that it was not only me that thought I was very good to manage to watch the full half hour episodes ithout sobbing my heart out!

It has been very touching and I await to see how the storyline develops.

What I do wonder is how they are going to tackle it. Because if they let Dot off after she confesses to the police will Eastenders not get a slating for promoting euthanasia but then if Dot gets put in jail for it. I am sure that there will be a 'Free Dorothy Cotton Campaign' not unsimilar to the one Dierdre caused in Corrie.

We'll just have to wait and see! I am sure that it will be dealt with in an appropriate manner and I just hope that it is not drawn out too long.
