Advantages: storylines

Disadvantages: longwinded storylines which end badly

Lets face it, by the time I've finished this review a new storyline will of developed and this will be completely pointless!

Yes we all know the main thing about Eastenders is that nobody can be happy. OK maybe for a few months but something will always go wrong in the end. So it's not at all surprising that the whole Danielle and Ronnie thing wouldn't last.

Yes, the most long winded storyline ever, with the annoyingly simpering and, to be a honest, a bit wet Danielle trying to tell Ronnie that she's her daughter. It has finally finished and I find for the first time since I started to watch Eastenders (approximately 7 years!) I am angry. I didn't like Danielle full stop. But to have to put up with what felt like years of her moaning and looking across the square to the Vic or R & R, and then the writers make the decision that the only way to end it by killing her off?! What were they thinking!

Archie was also made to seem like some kind of murderer as well. With Peggys very over the top solution. Kill him off?! So he wasn't a very nice chap, but telling his daughter that her child was dead and keeping them away from each other. Not nice, but also not worth dying for! So he's gone. Not a chance. I have a feeling that this will not be the last time we clap eyes on Archie Mitchell.

So those storylines have now gone by and new ones have to be invented. Or do they? So many little plots have built up, but have been slipped into the background due to daughter & mother gate. Some you may have picked up on...

Masood and Jane getting a bit closer. Patrick and Tommy. Chelsea and Theo. Even the Lauren case seemed to of slipped under the radar. Or maybe there is something which could be brewing. That of Dotty getting caught out with the mobile phone ( I wonder who she could be calling!).

Surely this must trigger something to Dot Branning about being a little suspicous. Where could innocent (!) little Dotty of gotten this phone when doting Grandmother hasn't given her one.. After all these long years in Walford Square with her son Nick, you'd of thought she'd of been a little bit cautious towards him and any reasons as to why he's around.

And now Dotty has found documents with her name on them, and when that evil little look comes upon her face it isn't hard to see the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. So another obvious storyline should be approaching soon. Lets see how long it takes before Nick and 'Dotty' try and bump long standing member Dot off.

Eastenders is in my opinion, the superior of all the soaps. OK, so I haven't actually watched any of the others...aside from Neighbours of course. But surely that's saying something. None of the others can surely compete with them, despite there being a lack of happiness.

If I could have one good thing to happen it would be that Bradley would not be with Syd, he would be with Stacey....maybe one day. One thing I know for sure is...the next Heather storyline to appear, albeit not a significant one, I wasn't expecting!

You review would be more useful if you went a bit more into previous characters and some of your favourite storylines rather than just focusing on the current storyline.

Sorry for the low rate, but its not really an opinion, just a list of current plotline, which you acknowledge yourself will be out of date in no time at all.
