I am a bit fan of soaps and have watched them for years, my favourite being Emmerdale and Coronation Street. Eastenders is a show that i used to watch years ago but dont watch so much now.

If you have never seen Eastenders it is a popular long running soap opera that first hit our screens in 1985. It is shown on BBC One and set in London. It follows the daily lives of several different characters and is full of tears and drama.

Most of the residents live in a residential area called Albert Square. The show was created by Julia Smith and Tony Holland and there have been almost 5000 episodes to date.

I know a lot of people who love this show and watch it religiously. I hate to sat that i completely hate it! I watched it years ago when i was younger and then went off it.

I have watched a few episodes recently and i couldnt believe how crap it was!

It has got to be one of the most depressing shows ever as anytime you watch it there always seems to be someone breaking up / being murdered / being blackmailed etc.

Most of the characters are really chavvy and theres always loads of litter and old chip papers flying about in the background during filming.

As ive said, i really love soaps but anytime i watch this, i feel like eating my own head just to find something else to do. My friends always used to ask me over cups of tea "Did you see Eastenders last night?" After the millionth answer of "No, its crap" i started to think if they knew the real me at all.

I know this is a much loved show for many people but i just cant get into it at all as i think its complete crap! Each episode lasts for 30 minutes and there has been many very different storylines over the years.

Watch if you want to be depressed but otherwise steer clear. I would give this no Dooyoo stars if i could but unfortunately there isnt that option.
