Advantages: Still one of the best soaps

Disadvantages: Lack of good characters

Eastenders used to be a really good soap but now a lot of the charasmatic characters have departed the edge seems to have been stolen from it. Grant, David Wicks even Frank Butcher used to add something to the show. Now we're left with Dot, the depressed Peggy and the reformed-hard man Roy Evans. The directing and writing is extremely formulaic and the plot surges are so easy to spot that everything is now predictable. Big Brother had more excitement in five minutes compared to a whole omnibus of Eastenders. Bring back good characters and concentrate more on the adults and leave out the kids I say.
