Advantages: High drama, for free
Disadvantages: You might miss one now and again
Oh how embarrassing, I wept like a baby twice this week. Yes I know I said twice and it was on three times but on Friday we had company! I am so transfixed by the story lines this soaps covers once in a while. Yes, OK I know it's all doom and gloom, but doesn't it make you feel like you haven't got it half as bad as them? That's good reverse psychology surely! If you haven't watched it yet, I won't give too much away, but just watch the omnibus on Sunday and I promise you it will every bit as good as paying to go to the cinema. How many soaps are brave enough to film an entire show based on two characters shouting at each other. I was swept between laughter, tears and shock throughout. That's worth my TV licence all in one go. Well, no that would be frivalous but you get the idea. I thought the only character to slightly underplay his big acting opportunity was the Slater dad. There was scope for more blood and guts in my opinion. Can't wait for next weeks editions. I'll be making a date with a bottle of wine and the comfy sofa! Full marks Eastenders - you're still the best.

- 07/10/01 No tears here, but .... they weren't far away!
And yeah, Pop Slater did let the acting team down somewhat, but then again, he would have had to have gone some to beat the acting from 'Kat'!
