I was never the sort of person to watch dramas and soaps, that was more my mother's thing. In fact I always used to make fun of her for wasting her time on soaps and dramas. That was, until I started watching Eastenders when I started my maternity leave and had loads of time on my hands. Strangely, it has me hooked and now, ... Read the complete review

For those of you who are unsure, Eastenders is a popular soap opera set in Albert Square, Walford, London. You may consider its competition to be the likes of Coronation Street and Emmerdale but personally Eastenders is my favourite. Being shown for half an hour on Mondays at 8pm, Tuesdays at 7:30pm, Thursdays at 7:30pm and Fridays at ... Read the complete review

It's probably the worst thing on tv. They seem to be enthusiastic about tackling all the worst elements of society and never encountering the best. Where is the wit, the positivity and the intellect that most of us witness at some point in the day.It seems to be focussed on dreary miserableness that just never ends. A truly awful programme that offers nothing except a will to end it all. Even all of the sets are purposefully dreary.Get rid of this rubbish from our lives. Please.

Part of being British includes watching the obligatory Soap Opera. In work each day, people can be found discussing the previous nights episode of their favourite soap. Mine is Eastenders, which was first broadcast in February 1985. Based in Albert Square in the ficticious town of Walford, Eastenders has been based around ... Read the complete review

I would just like to write a short review on Eastenders, which is of course one of those soaps that has become such a big part of the lives of so many people in this country. I know that a lot of people find a lot of stuff about it far fetched, and to some extent I agree or diasgree on some points with them all as we shall soon find out. ... Read the complete review

I find Eastenders is a watchable programme, but certainly not as good as it was in it's early days. I do still watch, as it's become a habit. I've been viewing from the start and only had short breaks when I've found the story lines too nasty and depressing. This programme was first aired on BBC1 in February, 1985. It was ... I must admit that I used to laugh at my husbands friend because he always makes sure that he's home to watch Eastenders, he won't answer his phone when it's on the telly and woe betide you if you call round and disrupt his viewing. As I said I used to laugh at him, now I sympathise with him lol. I've always dipped in and out ... Read the complete review

Eastenders I have to admit that I used to watch this soap opera quite often though of late I have really started to avoid it.
