Farming got funny (Emmerdale)

It used to be in soap opera world that Coronation Street was the one most likely to make you laugh during the stories of every day life however these days it si Emmerdale which has far more humour in it.

This is mainly due to the Dingle family who are a bit like the family in Shameless althugh the Dingles live in a farming community.

For those who do not know Emmerdale is a soap opera on ITV, each episode lasts for half an hour although they do occasionally have one hour specials and the storylines focus around the residents of a rural community in Yorkshire. It used to be called Emmerdale Farm with the farm being run by the Sugden family and while there is still one remaining family member in the show, Jack Sugden, the focus is now on the village.

I do find Emmerdae quite entertaining these days, the odd story line is a bit far fetched but the Dingle family help to keep me smiling and especially the facial expressions of Marlon who is the chef in the village pub.
