Emmerdale

Emmerdale, previously Emmerdale Farm is a well loved Soap which is displayed on ITV most nights of the week.

Emmerdale is a quite little village in the countryside. Inhabited by a variety of people from, the filthy rich - The Kings, to the poorest - The Dingles

The King family is the richest family in the village and live in the ever so popular 'Home Farm'. The Kings have their businesses and are envied a lot by other members of the village)

The Dingles. A typical poor family, living in poverty in a house with a lot of family members. Their loyalty lies with their family and they will do everything to protect them.

The village has its own post office and shop, café and Pub, a farm and a Chuch. They have a local business man Eric Pollard who is not very liked. A lot of the people in the village tend to work for him.

Emmerdale has been around for many years and has had a lot of popular storylines over the years. The soap is based on 'normal life' but the odd event regularly happens. The most recent popular story being Viv's fraud investigation and the sad Cot Death story with Laurel and Ashely (the local vicar and his wife).

The soap has won a number of awards. It is not the most popular soap but is good to watch. They have people from all ages, ranging from babies to OAP's, giving the soap a wide audience and is therefore watchable by all.

Emmerdale is on at 7.00pm most Weekday nights.

This program has some good storylines and some good actors and actresses. It is not as popular as other soaps I.e. Eastenders and Coronation Street but is equally as good, and perhaps more realistic than Eastenders.
