Advantages: Good plot lines

Disadvantages: Seems to be a disaster zone at times

It has been said that Emmerdale mus be one of the most dangerous places to live in the world out stripping places like Beirut or the Gaza Strip after all there are not many small villages, let alone ones that are located in tranquil Yorkshire that will have seen a plane crash amongst them, bombs go off and a whole load of murders and attempted murders, definately over the years the soap opera that is Emmerdale, and was formerly Emmerdale Farm before the CAP saw an end to Home Farm and the Sugden family, has seen its fair share of tragedy.

Emmerdale is ranked third when it comes to soap operas however it has a hard core following that keeps it on the ITV 1 channel schedules and it is a real survivor. I like the fact that it has a more lighter side these days with the facial contractions of Marlon to laugh at while te current storylines sees Cain returning to cause mischief again.

I do ind myself popping in every so often to watch Emmerdale, not rearlly sure why as I'm not a big soap fan but there is something about the show that I enjoy plus to be honest you can miss the odd episode and still find it easy to catch up with it, the acting is pretty good and they keep the plot lines interesting and the writers tend not to drag things out too much.

I guess it is just not the tranquil village life I would aspire to retire too as you might not draw your pension for too long if you did move there.
