Engie Benjy

In a similar animation style to Bob the Builder, Engie Benjy is a kids' TV series, featuring a little boy with blue hair that likes fixing things. My son seemed to like this when it was first aired, although he went off it after a while, preferring Bob the Builder. I found Engie Benjy to be quite educational, and quite similar in fact to the Playhouse Disney channel's programme Handy Manny. Dan the Van and Dollop the Dog are Benjy's sidekicks and helpers, and each episode sees Benjy and his crew have to go and fix one of the locals' vehicles. On the surface of it, Engie Benjy is a likable educational show for preschoolers from .Cosgrove Hall Films Limited The animation of this series gives a serious nod to the style we see in Hit Entertainment's Bob the Builder, with stop motion use of models melded with CGI for effects. Like Bob, we get a handy likable main character, a blue haired young chap named Engie Benjie. he has a handy book that tells him how to fix all manner of machines, which he needs as each of the local characters in his locale are all paired with a somewhat sentient machine that needs a repair doing. Engie Benjy is the latest pre-school hit from Cosgrove Hall Films Limited. Engie Benjy, the show's hero, is a boy mechanic for all the engines in Engie Benjy?s world. His ?Engine Mending Team? consists of Dan the Van and Jollop the Dog. Twenty six ten minute episodes have been made to date. It is shown on CiTV at around 3.25pm.
