Have I got News for You ... I Got News For You is probably my favourite of the numerous "topical news quiz" shows, and is in fact the original one that, after its success, invited the deluge of other similar shows, even if none have been able to replicate the format as well as it is displayed here. For those thinking HIGNFY is a stuffy political programme, you re wrong: this is a hilarious show that s quite accessible to those who aren t that interested in politics (such as myself), and those who are too. The show was initially hosted by Angus Deayton, but after he was hilariously ousted in the mid-2000s, there is a rotation of guest hosts now, with an impressive range that goes from... Have I got News for You ... one of my all time favourite television programmes. I have watched this for a long time, and it has coped with the changes very well. After he left, it felt like the programme would not be the same, and it took a while to get used to the new format, but now I think it is even better with guest hosts, as each host bring a different slant on the show, and it is often funny seeing how blunt ian and paul can be to the hosts who they dont really like. My favourite hosts is will self, and they often have some really great comedians on. It is... Read the full review: Current affairs made fun by harriet100 |

In the mid-1990s, before I had access to the Internet, and chiefly, YouTube, it had a firm place on mine and many others TV schedules, for it celebrated the inanity and idiocy of Britain s population. However, through numerous line-up changes, including Lisa Riley and, bemusingly, Harry Hill, it has become increasingly less relevant in an age where more unique and daring prat falls are a few mere clicks away. The show has a very simple concept: you send in clips of people you know being idiots, and you ll be paid a variant sum (usually £250) for the clip. Back in the hey-dey, t...
