Eurotrash

Newest Review: ... chilly. People from the Scandinavian, Benelux and German-speaking countries seemed to feature most prominently on Eurotrash, with the odd Italian representing the Mediterranean region. I don't remember much from Spain or the UK, and Eastern Europe was featured to a lesser extent (though I do remember a broadcast from Prague). ** Why did I like it so much? ** For me the best part of Eurotrash - sexy French presenter aside - was the use of voice overs and regional accents. The recorded interviews were usually conducted in the person's native language then translated into English. The very talented voice actress and comedian Kate Robbins... more

Premium Review Eurotrash: It's Europe, Jean-Paul, but not as we know it (1124 words)

This was my all-time favourite TV show growing up in the 1990s - in fact for a while I even thought my dream job would be to work as a writer or researcher on the programme. Luckily I didn't mention this to my school careers advisor! I think my parents were probably slightly exasperated with me watching such smut, but they didn't ban it and I'd watch it downstairs in the dining room, though not usually with the rest of the family. ** What was it about? ** Eurotrash was a 30-minute magazine-format programme shown on Channel 4 on Friday evenings. It was presented by the doe-eyed, cheeky Frenchman Antoine de Caunes, together with the outlandish ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review lusty teenage boys' fav bedtime show (325 words)

WHAT IS IT ABOUT: This late night show originally hosted by Jean Paul Gaultier and Antione De Caunes featured a wide array of crazy content from around the world, with an emphasis on sexually provocative material. The pop art set and eccentric presenters helped make it a huge hit in the 16 seasons it ran. WAS IT ANY GOOD: I wonder how many people can relate to me in that they watched this show as a teenage boy, late night in their bedroom, for the sole purpose of wanting desperately to see naked women? I doubt I'm alone in that! And of course, it satisfied that desire, with the most obscure sexual content I'd ever seen back them (this was before the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Eurotrash: A rite of passage for many (212 words)

You have to put yourself in a certain mindest. This was the mid 1990s. This was pre-Internet; pre super-speedy broadband porn-on-demand, pre-sex on tap. For a naive teenager in the mid 90s, Eurotrash was it. It was the bees knees of soft porn; the hardest stuff you could possibly lay your hands on! Eurotrash for me, and my peers, was a rite of passage. It guided us through our informative teen years and I'm darn sure my first view of the female antatomy was on this very programme...as scary as that may seem....and no, they weren't Lola Ferraris' humungous breasts. Presented by Antoine de Caunes and Jean-Paul Gautier, the show was presented in a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Eurotrash at its best (81 words)

Great programme for the young. Very dirty at times but the young ones love it. Definately have to be open minded and if you lead a sheltered life you can learn a lot. Not only about fashion, places to go, things to do, but about alternative lifestyles and sexual fantasies. Caught my young son ogling the boobs, he thought it great.Makes me feel old but at least I know the kids are growing up with healthy open minds to ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Eurotrash: Wicked Euro trash (192 words)
by - written on 10/07/01 (Somewhat useful, 128 readings)

Eurotrash has to be the best sex show on the t.v. Its excellent and comical to. It can be seen on channel 4 at 10.30pm when big brother finishes in 3 weeks time. The presenter Antoinne de caunnes is funny but has no personality and sense of embarrasment. Some of the things he dresses up in is out of this world. The thing that lets the show down is possisbly the fact thatthe music at the beginning and end certainly lives upto the trash part of the shows title name. The target audience is most defiently for people who are aged over 15 and have an adult nature in them. The features are very much of an adult nature with the things you can expect such as euro ...  Read the complete review
