Advantages: Good comedy, Franks one liners are great

Disadvantages: none

Ray Romano plays Raymond Barone, Patricia Heaton plays Debra Barone, Doris Roberts plays Marie Barone, Peter Boyle plays Frank Barone, Brad Garrett plays Robert Barone

This series is an American comedy based on the family life of the main character Ray Barone. The programme introduces you to his close family, Deborah his wife, Allie his daughter, Michael and Jeffery his twin sons, Robert his older brother who is a Police Officer, Marie his Mom and Frank his Dad.

Ray is a Sports Writer and Deborah is a stay at home mom. Ray is constantly getting in to trouble with Deborah by saying or doing the wrong thing and whats funny is watching how he gets out of it or how he ends up getting in to even more trouble. Ray has a very close relationship (not by choice) with his Mom, Dad and brother Robert and this in turn can drive Deborah mad. Ray is obviously the favourite son and Roberts jealousy of his younger brother creates some great comedy.
Deborah is constantly having to deal with Rays over-bearing and interferring Mother Marie who can regularly be found at Deborahs house cleaning, washing the childrens clothes or just generally getting in the way.

The programme is entertaining and easy to watch. The best part is the fact that it can be related to real life when looking at the whole family relationship issues and having to deal with in laws! The best character by far is Frank who comes out with great comical one liners mainly aimed at Marie. It can be found on Comedy Central most days and each episode lasts half an hour (including breaks)

Summary: Easy to watch and entertaining
