WHAT IS IT ABOUT: Ricky Gervais stars as Andy Millman, a TV and film extra who, in this series, has had his sit-com taken on by the BBC. 'When the Whistle Blows' is a weak comedy based in catch-phrases and funny wigs, and soon leaves Milman demoralised about his work.
