To be honest I'd never been a fan of Phil O'Grady's, neither as himself or Lily Savage but when the ageing scouser starred in Eyes Down, I was pleasantly surprised. Long since forgotten and taken off air as quickly as it came on to ITV - Eyes Down, like the episode of That Peter Kay Thing with the same name revolves around a bingo hall. In a similar manner to Dinnerladies, it features just a handful of characters in the main roles but the comedic acting talent is quite valuable.
