Advantages: Interesting and easy to follow

Disadvantages: Not as popular as it should be

I am avid fan of Family Affairs and watch it all the time.
When comparing it to some of the other soap operas I find it beats Eastenders and Brookside hands down. Although it has both topical and controversial storylines,it manages to keep a sense of reality and is not too depressing (unlike Eastenders) and not too far fetched (unlike Brookside)
I also think that it appeals to many age groups as there are storylines covering a varied spectrum of age groups.
Family Affairs is on each weekday evening at 6.30pm and is repeated the following lunchtime at 12.30 pm. There is also an omnibus edition every Sunday afternoon which is really useful if you've missed a couple of episodes.
I hope that more people start watching this and it receives the recognition it deserves.
