Advantages: Becoming a gritty soap

Disadvantages: To much violence at times

Channel five soap centered around Charnham. This soap like many others started of quite slow but is now becoming one of the best soaps on british tv. Like all other soaps it as its basic characters, including the villian Pete Callan, who in my opinion is far scarir than Steve Owen.

They are now begining to tackle topical issues well. At present they are dealing with teenage drug problems and the affects it as on her and her family. Thet also have the comical couple in the way of Dave and Cat Matthews who are slowing becoming the Jack and Vera of family affairs there story lines are excellent.

The disadvantage i believe is the story lines can sometimes show more violence than necessary for the time of day it is on, my children are still up when it is on and feel sometimes i need to know the story line before i will watch it in front ot them.
