Advantages: fast moving, great storylines
Disadvantages: ...
I'm not sure how I got hooked on this soap. Everyday we hear people slagging off Channel 5 for all the tacky T.V. it comes up with. Some of us like tacky... Anyway to the point this soap is not tacky and has improved greatly from it's early days. It's set in a town in London called Charnham, it has a wide mix of characters. My favourite would have to be Pete Callan, his character is played very well. He really does not care about anyone and will do whatever he can to get what he wants. For instance he is trying to get custody of his son so he marries his slighty dizzy barmaid Siobhan (Pete is the father of Siobhans half sister also) He then ends up killing Josh (who was pissed off that he married Siobhan and was trying to dig up dirt on Pete) Pete allows Siobhan to believe that she killed him. Meanwhile Petes ex-wife Claire returns to remind him that they are still married and demands and large sum to get divorced. She is staying with Maria (another ex-wife of Petes) Maria finds out that they are still married and arranges to go and see Siobhan and tell her what's going on. Pete thinks of something that will shut her up, he buys her a baby!! She's always wanted one and has been known to try and run off with babies in the past. Confused!!?? Watch and get yourself up to date, it's got so many good story lines going on at the moment and so many good characters like Sara the girl from hell who left school, got mixed up in drugs left home and became a lapdancer, she has returned now possibly to mend her ways but is still causing as mich trouble as ever. Well done to channel five for such a great fast moving soap, the story line are always interesting and not dragged out like some other soaps.
