It is an innovative cartoon comedy, that has flourished after the seminal work of 'The Simpsons'. A pre-warning to anyone that hasn't seen Family Guy, if you are easily offended, please don't watch this - as you probably won't like it! I have read a couple of reviews on the site about Family Guy and I don't think people have given it enough credit. I think it is extremely well written, with a mixture of both low brow and high brow humour throughout. It may not be an enjoyable experience for an older, more prudent generation, but I think younger viewers with an open mind that understand the jokes (that are often close to the bone) are often made light-heartedly. However, I wouldn't recommend 'Family Guy' to viewers under 18, due to the shows often blunt and ...  Read the complete review

[Scooby-Doo theme plays] TV Announcer: We now return to The Scooby-Doo Murder Files. Fred: Gee whiz, gang. Looks like the killer gutted the victim, strangled him with his own intestines and then dumped the body in the river. Velma: Jinkies! What a mystery! Scooby-Doo: [jumps on Shaggy's arms] Arroo! Fred: You're right Scoob, we're dealing with one sick son of a bitch! Family Guy is one of the reasons I love BBC3. It was ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Family Guy is great (386 words)

Before I really started watching Family Guy, I had only seen a couple of clips of it and thought it was terrible. However, I decided to start watching it instead of just being judgemental of it without even watching a whole episode. When I did watch an episode I found it really funny and although some of the jokes are quite offensive and can drag on for ages, which I guess make sit unique in its own way compared to similar shows like The Simpson's. Unlike the Simpson's, Family Guy features much more of an adult based theme which makes seem more offensive. The main character of the show is Peter Griffin, with the show being based on friends and ...  Read the complete review

Me and my friends always watch family guy, late at night at about 11pm on BBC3. Now this show is without a doubt, one for the younger generation, don't get me wrong my Dad finds it very funny, but he is a very open-minded man for his age. It has been complained about a lot, deemed too offensive a lot of the time and berated for its apparent pushing the boundaries of what is decent too far, too often however, I'll tell you what it is bare bones. Family guy is a television show about an odd family, with a talking dog who bares human traits, that get up to really stupid things, all the time. It greatly exaggerates every stereotype possible, and ...  Read the complete review

If you have never watched Family Guy and watch the Simpsons you do not know what you are missing out on! Just recently I have become addicted to watching this show after watching one episode and now can not sleep without watching a show every night. Family Guy is about a family with different characters and its more of adult themed cartoon. It is similar to the likes of the Simpsons with less characters but more funny jokes. Short intro into the family Peter Griffin (Stupid Middle aged man with some hilarious jokes he will make you laugh every episode) Lois Griffin (A little smarter than her husband but can be stupid at ...  Read the complete review
