Advantages: funny adult cartoon

Disadvantages: none

Family Guy is an animated series mainly aimed at adults due to its sense of humour and the kind of topics it covers. Many jokes will include violence, sexual references and generally politically incorrect subjects which viewers might find offensive.

I enjoy this series as they've always found bizarre, daring and controversial ways of making the viewer laugh out loud. The series has been running for 7 seasons now but has been cancelled for a brief period a while back, over 3 years ago.

Family Guy is an animated series about the Griffin family; Peter, the dad who is obese, lazy and has a low IQ; the mother Lois who is hated by her youngest son; son Chris, a teen, who takes after his dad; daughter Meg, also a teen, who isn't too popular or attractive and tends to struggle with this; youngest son baby Stewie who is hell-bent on killing his mother and world domination and finally Brian the dog who can talk and has an alcohol problem.

The family also has some crazy friends and get into some bizarre situations that won't fail to make you think and laugh. They also like referencing to jokes that might not tie in with the story but just suit the joke they're telling at the time. They also like to make fun of celebrities and point out their flaws. They've also made Adam West the mayor and feature his real voice as the character.

All in all, I really enjoy watching family guy, and whilst it's often insane and bordering on offensive, it's a good laugh and entertaining 20 minutes per episode!

Summary: entertaining, politically incorrect and insane
