Advantages: Funny, Great voices and Characters

Disadvantages: Not as good in the last few series

Family Guy has recently become popular and successful, and in my eyes, i completely agree with that. I absolutely love this comedy series, an absolute laugh to go and watch. Some people disagree and find it can be crude at some moments but i think Seth MacFarlane has done a brilliant job making people laugh worldwide.

It's a series about a family living in America and how they get on their lives with each other, but you see the funny side of it instead of a series which involves seriousness and drama which i think is a good point about Family Guy. I especially love every single character in this series (apart from Meg, she's annoying!) and the voices go so well to the kind of personalities they have.

The household of the main family in this show consist of :-

Peter Griffin, a big lovable guy, who always says what's on his mind even if it's the wrong place at the wrong time! Personally, i love this character, one of the funniest in the series and i love the things he comes up with.

Meg Griffin, a 16 year old who's always seeking acceptance, at school and even in her house and is a bit of a drama queen. I think even though she's an annoying character, she makes it funny when the characters make fun of her.

Stewie Griffin is a 1 year old boy planning to rule the world and is the most clever of the family. He speaks as well which is unusual for a boy his age, and also the fact he is seeking world domination! I love this character, a true laugh.

As wierd as it gets, Brian Griffin is an adult, speaking dog who lives with the family and usually you see him alongside Stewie or Peter.

Lois Griffin and Chris Griffin are also members of the Griffin household but I think they're less interesting characters but still make this series what it is!

I have to say, THE funniest comedy series at the moment, and American Dad, another production by Seth MacFarlane is slowly catching up to the success of Family Guy. Seth MacFarlane, one of the highest paid writers voices characters in Family Guy of Peter, Brian, Stewie, Glen Quagmire, Tom Tucker and others which i find is brilliant and he does it so well, putting some clear difference to the voices.

If you are a comedy watching fanatic, this is the one you have to watch, also if you don't mind a bit of crude behaviour sometimes which i certainly don't mind. There are 7 seasons and a film released. I do have to say though, i prefer the first few couple seasons of Family Guy but all are good anyway. You can switch over to BBC 3 at around 11 and you'll be able to watch it. Also if you take a liking in this comedy series, American Dad is also one you should look in to seeing aswell!

Summary: Great series, worth watching!
