Family Guy is the brainchild of Seth MacFarlane a guy that clearly knows a thing or two about adult animated comedy. The content sits just between the fairly child friendly Simpsons and the adult orientated South Park, Family Guy tells the story of a American family that live in the small town of Quahog.

The main family featured is the Griffin family...

Peter Griffin - the idiotic alcoholic father
Lois Griffin - the slim naseley wife

Brian - the alcoholic wise cracking talking dog
Stewie - the evil baby who is hell bent on killing his mother

Meg & Chris Griffin - Lois and Peters children, Meg being hopeless in love yet desperate to find her prince and Chris who is quite content with the contents of his nose.

Together with Peters friends Joe Swanson, (handicapped policeman), Glen Quagmire (resident pervert) and Cleveland Brown (deli shop owner, all around nice guy) the show tells of the groups antics with the show seeming to focus around ripping it out of as many celebrities as possible at times.

What made Family Guy different was things like the presence of an evil baby and alcoholic dog and the use of cut scenes to illustrate points. The language and content is lewd, crued and rude and fantastically funny and has given water-cooler talk for office workers since 1999 and doesn't look like stopping any time soon, running into its 7th season now, the laughs keep coming!

Not really one for the kids, this clever cartoon classic is sure to be a hit with teens and adults alike!
