Finding a comedy that you can watch over and over again and still be funny is a rare thing and Family Guy is just that. I've watched each episode hundreds of times and I still find it very funny. Family Guy is an animated comedy which is very random, sarcastic, strange and chose to the mark. They have done 7 seasons and two films. The films are called: Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, in which Stewie as a near death experience which changes his outlook on life and Blue Harvest, which is a Star Wars parody. The films are not as good as the series but are still quite funny.

Characters.

Peter Griffin - Peter is the protagonist. He works in a toy factory most of the time but as also tried his hands at many other jobs. He is husband to Lois and father to Chris, Meg and Stewie. He is classed as mental retarded which just about sums up his character.

Lois Griffin - Wife to Peter. She is intelligent and quite the opposite of Peter. She is a housewife and spends her days putting up with Peters shenanigans. She comes from a rich family and her father as taken a great disliking to Peter.

Meg Griffin - Daughter of Peter and Lois. Everyone dislikes Meg and in every episode she is the butt of all jokes. Everyone picks on her.

Chris - Son of Peter and Lois. He seems to of inherited Peters brains as he is completely thick and very gullible.

Brian - Brian is the family pet. He is a talking dog. He is very clever and is in love with Lois. This is where the programme starts to get very strange as Brian is a dog that as human girl friends. He has also had a number of different jobs over the seasons.

Stewie Griffin - is son of Peter and Lois. He is a baby who is very clever and very evil. He spends most of his time trying to kill Lois who he deeply hates and as future plans to take over the world. He can talk perfectly but it is not certain who understands him. Brian does but the rest of the family it is not made clear whether they can understand him.

The Griffins make up the main family in the series but there are other regular characters such as: Quagmire, Joe Swanson and Cleveland who are friends of Peters, Bonnie who is Joes wife and was pregnant throughout the whole six seasons, meteorologist Ollie Williams, news reporters Tom Tucker and Diane Simmons and mayor Adam West.

You can pick up Family Guy box sets from around £20 - £25. It is also on BBC Three nearly every night from around 10:00 pm. I recommend this programme to people who are not easily offended and who enjoy other programmes such as: The Simpsons, American Dad and South Park.

It is a truly brilliant programme and you will be missing out if you don't watch it. I for one will never be bored of it.
