Just before it begins, you feel butterflies in your stomach, and within seconds you find yourself uncontrollably going with the flow, a huge grin on your face. You strap yourself in (kinky) and lay back to enjoy the ride. Once it's over you just can't move, sitting there, grinning euphorically, and desperate to doo it all over again.

Maybe that's a touch excessive, but it's not far off. By the way, if you hadn't yet guessed, I am a fan of the show....

You may not have had the pleasure of watching the Fast Show yet, so for those of you with no idea what I am talking about, the Fast Show is a half hour programme created by Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson along with a huge collection of great comedians and talented performers backing them up.

The show itself is comprised of around 30 short sketches featuring characters based on stereotypes we all know and love. I won't tell you about all of the characters, but my favourites have to be Dave (you don't wanna leave that there mate, i'll have that away, i'll nick anything, i will), Swiss Tony (everything is very much like making love to a beautiful woman) and the 'Suit You Sir, Ooooh' characters.

They are all spectacular in their hilarity, with most sketches appealing to people of all ages. Some will not appeal to everyone - as I found out furing the last show I watched. I found myself in stitches and falling off my chair while my girlfriend just grinned at me in complete and utter disbelief.

Rare gems from the show include, but are not limited to, Johnny Depp's appearance alongside the 'Suit You Sir' guys - which should give you a good idea of the sheer range of people this appeals to.

It's almost impossible not to like the Fast Show from the start, and once you've seen your first episode, there's no going back - you'll be hooked.
