I have watched the brilliant and hilarious Father Ted for years and even to this day would love to visit the set of the fictional Craggy Island. This show had three seasons altogether and twenty five episodes.

I wished there could have been more as i completely loved it and found it so funny!

If you have never heard of Father Ted, it is a comedy television programme that was first shown on Channel Four. The show centres around the lives of three catholic priests who live on the fictional Craggy Island just off the west coast of Ireland.

The show graced our screens from 1995 to 1998. The show has a great cast including Dermot Morgan, Ardal O'Hanlon, Frank Kelly and Pauline McLynn. There are other actors in small roles such as the brilliant Graham Norton and even Tommy Tiernan.

Father Ted was the priest who was known as the most sensible and the normal one of the household. He was sent to Craggy Island after allegedly using funds meant for a poor childs pilgrimage to go to Las Vegas with.

Father Dougal McGuire is one of my favourite characters along with Mrs Doyle. I love the way he acts like he never knows whats going on and is a bit simple really. A lot of people wonder why he joined the priesthood and i think he is one of the funniest "priests" i have ever seen.

Father Jack Hackett is brilliant, hes an abusive drunk and very lecherous about women. He spends most of his time sitting in a chair either sleeping or hurling drunken abuse to people.

Father Ted is one of the funniest comedys i have ever seen and i ended up buying the complete boxset. I love it and it has never failed to cheer me up or make me laugh. The priests in the show are nothing like normal priests that you would expect to come across.

Sadly Dermot Morgan who played the role of Father Ted died at the age of 45 from a heart attack. He is very much missed and im sure this show will live on in his memory for many years to come.
