Advantages: Funny at times

Disadvantages: Not the classic it is claimed to be

I know that this might upset some prescious people who think this was a comedy classic but I'm sorry I just never found it that funny, don't get me wrong it is an entertaining comedy show but it was never as good as classics like Porridge, Dads Army or Only Fools and Horses in my opinion.

John Cleese stars as Basil Fawlty who along with his wife runs a small seaside hotel, Basil is a man filled with anger who is probably the most ill suited person to be running a hotel where customer service is key as he has no time for his guests and is constantly rude to them, his wife Cybil has the most awfu laugh and constatntly nags Basil who focuses his venom on the Spanish waiter Manuel.

There are a lot of funny moments in this comedy and they only actually made 12 episodes, I used to like to watch the opening credits to see what letters had fallen off the hotel sign to make up a funny word or phrase, the main parts I did not enjoy though were when Cleese was just shouting on screen as I felt that this was just not funny.is is a good comedy just not quite as funny as some people make it out to be.

It's my all-time favourite sit-com...I suppose you have to have a certain kind of sense of humour to appreciate it (omg that sounded arrogant and I didn't mean it to)

Surprised me that only 12 were made.
