Advantages: very informative

Disadvantages: sometimes unfair on contestants

This quiz show provides an excellent store of general knowledge. It really keeps the brain cells fit but it has one inconsistency, which really irritates me. The question master, William G. Stewart, is sometime pedantic over the issue of Christian names. For example, he may ask "What was the name of the British explorer who arrived at the South Pole?" The contestant may answer correctly - Scott. William G. will then say "I need his Christian name". Yet in other programmes, and sometimes on the same programme, he will simply accept the surname!

This is very unfair to the contestants who may have travelled long distances to participate in the quiz. But, as I say, it is still an excellent programme for quiz buffs to refresh and improve their general knowledge.

P.S. I don't like the new music on the show.
