Fitz, TheNewest Review: ... family (Catholic), very stereotypical at that. The basic programme is based around the many children at what goes on in their lives, not a terrible idea I suppose but it simply isn’t funny most of the time. I say most of the time because I did watch one episode that was remotely funny, where one of the family was dealing in children’s story books, however it was dealt with like drug dealing quite comical. But nothing else was funny, you have one of the daughters changing jobs each week, declaring in a screaming and annoying voice ‘I’m a Lolly Pop Lady ma…’ etc. It’s not just that, the parents ... more |

The story lines in the Fitz were silly and repetirive, the characters unrealistic and I've heard that it gets one of BBC's poorest viewing ratings. I can't say I'm surprised because it is crap. ... The Fitz is a new comedy show on BBC TWO, Fridays at 9.30 on the Comedy Zone repeated on BBC TWO on Sundays and repeated on BBC CHOICE. It’s a comedy series about a very very large chaotic Irish family; there are loads of children a father who loves painting and a mother totally besotted with the Chelsea football team. The show looks at the family as they get into funny predicaments, all through the series there is an ex-wife of one of the Fitz’s children and she tries in every episode to kill him – sounds stupid I know but its very funny, all I can say is that the show is definitely worth watching. Its a great show that can have you ... Read the complete review
