Flashforward

This is Five's big Autumn show and I've caught all the episodes, either when broadcast or online. The premise is that at the same time the whole world blacked out for 2 mins & 17 seconds. Soon after this, we discover that they all had a vision of the same date - 6 months in the future. These 'flash forwards' have either left people full of hope, full of despair or mild indifference (some people 'saw' themselves sat on the toilet, or eating breakfast as they always do!!) Flash Forward is a new show on channel five. It is an American show that made it's debut earlier this year. We are almost halfway through the first series, and it has already become one of the most popular shows of the past few years, both here and in the USA. The basis of the show centres on a handful of main characters and the "flash forwards" that everyone around the world has seen. Saw the trailers for this and impressed by the cast and the overriding concept "everyone in the world blacked out for 2 minutes and 17 seconds and in that time saw their future". The whole world saw what they would be doing in April 2010 - six months time. So put it on my Sky plus planner to record and thought that if it was rubbish I would not have to watch again. So saw the first episode - as you can imagine - when the whole world blacks out at the same time there is the potential for lots and lots of accidents - so the series opens with some of the main characters waking up and seeing the devestation around them. Flashforward is a TV series on channel 5, Mondays at 9pm. I always love a good TV series. I was a fan of Lost, Heroes and countless others. I have been watching Tru Blood and wanted another series to keep me entertained. I was on channel fives web site and came across this new series. I though I would watch the first episode and see how it went. The first episode was AMAZING, getting me truly addicted. I quickly proceeded to watch the other episodes I had missed. FlashForward is the latest US drama to take Channel 5 in all its many guises by storm. The current weeks episode is first shown on Monday at 9pm after that its repeated at least twice a day, probably more on fiver and fiver plus one. On Sundays its possible to watch the previous six episodes back to back commencing at 4pm or 5pm on Fiver plus one. On October 6th the entire world blacked out simultaneously for two minutes and 17 seconds. Some people died on the spot. Most people saw into the future, specifically their own futures.
