Advantages: The flash forwards are quite interesting
Disadvantages: goes down hill very quickly
Flash forward is the new TV series from America whereby the whole world have a complete black out and millions die in the process. The ones who survive have some sort of vision so the FBI embark on a mission to try and piece together the evidence and catch the culprit.
The first episode of this was brilliant and I was gripped from the start. The storyline was original and I was sure I was going to be a commited watcher no matter how many series they decided to make.
By the time the second episode finished, I was pretty bored and although I continued watching, it didn't grab me and keep me interested. I watched a few more episodes after that before I gave up altogether.
There is a lot of thrilling action scenes going on which are done well and I also liked the fact that every now and again, you'd find a character having a flash forward so you could see what they dreamt during the black out. I must admit that part did keep me interested which is probably why I kept watching.
The humour is unbelievably corny and the acting is down right awful. It's almost like they are trying to be a little bit comical but it doesn't quite fit in with the seriousness of the storyline. I didn't recognize any of the actors and I'm pretty sure none of them have the ability to have a long career or maybe they do and it was just the script that made them bad.
As the episodes unfold the questions that I found that were unanswered also did too. Every question seemed to unfold into a million others and to me it was starting to feel like 'Lost' all over again which I just couldn't be bothered with.
All in all this series had a promising start but went down hill very quickly!
Summary: Don't bother

- 14/11/09 I have watched the first five episodes and I don't think I will watch no more either. It is good one minute and then I feel like turning it off the next. I done no what's up with it. I will stick to Hero's and Lost. |

- 14/11/09 I agree to a point, but interestingly it was my 12 year old who said at the end of last weeks episode that it was good for it to end with a bit of hook for the next week. a little flat and times and lets face it's a bit like Titanic in that we know what's going to happen. |
