This tv programme is a classic of cartoon style, both with numerous tv shows and also a few films! It is a hit both with children and adults alike. It focuses on two working class families in the stone ages, the Flintstones, and the Rubbles and their lives in Bedrock. The Flintstones is a wonderful kids' TV show that is a timeless classic from the 1960s. The concept is very original and clever, and the delivery onto our screens, with the effect of a live studio audience, makes it feel homely and more 'live' than other shows. The Flintstones was originally launched on September 30th 1960 on the US TV Channel ABC. It ran for six years with the final epsiode being broadcast on April 6th 1966. It is still shown on TV networks worldwide today, including Cartoon Network UK.
