If you've never seen this, you HAVE to watch it, it's one of the funniest things I've seen on TV in ages! It's basically about a guy who makes prank calls to members of the general public with hilarious concequences. He has a number of different characters he impersonates. One of my favourite characters is a nigerian scammer who rings people up saying things like they have won the nigerian lottery or that their bank account has been broken in an attempt to get their bank details over the phone. WHAT IS IT ABOUT: This British comedy programme featured a masked star making prank phone calls to unsuspecting recipients. The show was a huge success and even won a BAFTA in 2008. WAS IT ANY GOOD: I'll tell you what I love about this show, but it'll take the form of a little story. In terms of TV comedy, everything had been done. Prank phone calls are not something that one would expect Channel 4 (or any channel for that matter) would decide to base a tv show on. We've all made prank phone calls in our lives, they used to keep me and all my mates entertained on drunken nights out. Even now, I still find myself making them occassionally for some light entertainment. But Kayvan Novak (the man behind the mask) does prank calls like noone else. He has devised a small group of hilarious characters which he plays when he makes these calls. I have just finished watching the Xmas special of this show and I am still in tears laughing at the jokes he plays on all the unsuspecting people!! This show is shown on both C4 and E4 most weekends. The new series are always shown on E4 first but I mostly catch the repeats on C4. I don't really care if it is a repeat of the programme though, as its hilarious even after seeing the show many times! Different to the average show on TV, this show is all about one man, Kayvan Novak, calling random people up using various guises.
