Advantages: good football preview show, some good pundits and commentators

Disadvantages: not as up to date and in depth as sky sports news

Football Focus is a football analysis and preview show broadcast on the BBC on Saturday at lunchtime (around 12). It is currently hosted by Manish Bhasin with previous hosts including Ray Stubbs and Gary Linekar. Football pundits such as Mark Lawrenson, Lee Dixon, Ivan Gaskell, and Martin Keown also take part in the show on a regular basis. Match of the Day commentators Steve Wilson, Guy Mowbray, Jonathan Pearce and John Motson provide game previews from the stadiums usually towards the end of the programme. Jake Humphrey hosts the programme when Manish is unavailable. The main part of the show is to provide previews and look forward to the weekend action but it usually also has highlights from the action during the previous week.

I do not watch this show as much as I used to as Sky Sports News tends to have the latest up to date football stories and analysis unlike this programme which is only on once a week. It tends to cover the premiership mostly and other leagues are not really covered in as much depth. It is still a pretty good show though and has some good analysis. Match of the Day is probably the best show on the BBC as it has the premiership highlights and also some good analysis but this show is also a decent part of the BBC football series of programmes. If you want a more light and less in depth preview of the weekend's football action this is probably better than sky.
I give it 3 stars because I prefer to have more in depth and up to date analysis.
