Frasier is a long-running sitcom which centres on the life of radio psychiatrist Frasier Crane. After leaving Boston - Frasier Crane was a character in the sitcom Cheers for many years - for Seattle, Frasier begins a new job at radio station KACL and has to share his apartment with his father, a retired cop who was shot in the hip in the line of duty, and his father's dog Eddie. Also living in Seattle is Frasier's brother Niles who is also a psychiatrist and shares Frasier's love of highbrow culture. Frasier hires eccentric Englishwoman Daphne Moon as his father's physical therapist and housekeeper. Frasier is one of my favourite sitcoms of all time, with incredibly funny and clever dialogue and storylines which often descend into immaculately performed farce. The acting in this programme is absolutely superb and the characters seem very real and lovable despite their various neuroses. The 'will they won't they' ongoing storyline between Niles and Daphne is beautiful and at times heartbreaking and the friendship between Frasier and Roz is very tender and sweet. I really would recommend this programme to anyone as it is a shining example of how a sitcom can be intelligent and sophisticated without losing its warmth and charm.

Summary: A brilliant brilliant show
