Advantages: Just brilliant

Disadvantages: Younger audiences may not fully understand some jokes

An undeniable classic icon of entertainment. Friends spread laughter worldwide and launched it's cast into stardom as they claimed a position as household names.

The basic premise of the show is six friends; Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Monica (Courtney Cox Arquette), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), Joey (Matt Le Blanc), Chandler (Matthew Perry) and Ross (David Schwimmer), each one of them individual in their own way but all fitting together so well.

The ten seasons of this show follow their life as they continue to grow up through the tail-end of their twenties and into their early thirties. Relationships buzz within the close-knit group as do disagreements, break-ups, make-ups and an infinite amount of jokes.

Friends conceived so many unforgettable moments of television, providing the viewer with fond memories of such moments as "we were on a break!" and Phoebe's trademark song "Smellycat". It's a show that will always be remembered and probably always be on TV, so you if haven't watched it before (how? why?) then I recommend you catch it one time it's on.

Reportedly even Jennifer Aniston still watches reruns and she was there filming it nearly every day, it's just that good!

Summary: Friends is one of the most memorable sitcoms and hopefully will be shown forever
