I heard on the radio yesterday that the cast had returned to the set for filming to begin on the seventh series.

I was, like many others I'm sure, relieved to hear that they sorted out their contract wrangles and put pen to paper to sign for another two series. Their collective bargaining power was enough to force the producers to give in. I am relieved that they did.

Friends has been consistently good over the last six series, so much so that it has cost me a fortune in buying all the videos!

One thing bothers me though, in the past it has been usual for there to be a cliff hanger at the end of the last episode of the previous series. This hasn't been the case for the last series and I wonder if the new series will lack a bit of momentum when it starts up again. I hope it starts of well and continues on with its high standards.

I think they should maybe call it a day though after their 8th series with everything wrapped up nicely ( a triple wedding maybe? ). I want the series to finish on a high rather than drag on. It should be left in our minds that it is one of the greatest American sitcoms there have been.

Summary:
