Friends is the hugely successful American comedy which ran for a total of 10 series and focusses on the lives of 6 friends in New York. The main characters are Monica who is a clean freak and chef, Ross who is Monica's brother who is a scientist whose main love is of dinosaurs, Chandler who is one of Ross's best friends from high school and is a failure with the ladies and is an office worker, Rachael who is Monica's friend from high school and works in the coffee shop before going on to work in fashion, Pheobe who is a musician who writes her own music which is for an acquired taste to say the least, the final character is Joey who is a struggling actor who is a massive hit with the ladies. Most of the show takes place within either Monica's apartment, Joey and Chandlers apartment or the coffee shop managed by Gunther. The show is a great comedy which has great actors who interact with each other brilliantly, great comedy scripts, hilarious scenarios and many memorable lines and story lines which even after the show has finished is still remembered and the popularity of the show has led to many repeats on television and huge amounts of people calling for Friends to return to our television screens or to cinemas as soon as possible. If you enjoy non offensive comedy which can warm the heart with its stories highlighting what true friendship means then this is a show that you may well fall in love with.
